About this game

No webcam? Play it anyway. Gesture Shooter has a mouse mode — move to aim, click to shoot — so the whole game works on any laptop without a camera. If you do have one, the same game runs on hand tracking, where your right hand aims and a left-hand fist fires, or face tracking, where your nose aims and opening your mouth fires. You choose the control mode first, then your weapon.

It is Duck Hunt rebuilt for the browser. Ducks, pigeons, eagles, parrots, bats, UFOs and decoys you should leave alone cross the sky in fifteen-second rounds. You get three lives and limited ammo — about three shots per bird, scaled by the weapon — so misses cost you. Hit fewer than half the birds in a round and you lose a life; run out and the game ends. Every fifth round sends out a boss bird that takes several hits to drop.

Five weapons change how you shoot: the Pistol is fast and reliable, the Revolver pierces two birds, the Laser Gun chains lightning to nearby targets, the Shotgun throws a spread with knockback, and the Sniper turns a centre hit into an instant kill at double score. The backdrop changes every two rounds across five biomes — Forest, Desert, Arctic, Tropical and Wetland — four of them with their own weather, from desert dust and arctic snow to tropical rain and wetland fog, under a sky that rolls from dawn to night. Power-ups, ten achievements and a local high-score table round it out.
