Gesture Glide
About this game
Gesture Glide is a webcam endless runner. Your glowing ball holds one spot near the left of the screen while rings scroll toward it, and the only controller is you. Choose Hand Tracking and the height of your hand sets the height of the ball; choose Face Tracking and your head does the same job. Height alone will not get you through: most rings also show a pose — 🖐️✊✌️🤘☝️ in hand mode, a facial expression in face mode — and you must be holding that pose as the ring reaches you. Match both and you pass. Miss a ring, or glide into a skull ring instead of dodging it, and you lose one of your five lives; dodge the skull and you bank a small bonus instead.
The run escalates on its own. Speed steps up every ten rings until it hits a ceiling, and every twenty-five rings moves you into the next of five zones: Space, Sunset, Ocean, Volcano and finally Neon City. Shield, slow-motion, star-pass and extra-life pickups drift through the solo run. 1v1 Battle instead puts two players in front of one webcam, racing the same rings with five lives each — player one cyan, player two magenta.
You need a working webcam and a desktop browser — there is no mouse control, and the arrow keys only nudge the ball around the position your hand or face is already setting. The video is analysed entirely inside your browser and is never uploaded — see the privacy notes. For the full control list, read how to play.
